  10.    This is DiskRW version 2.37, a bug fix release to solve problems
  11.    before the next mayor release is ready.

  18.    2.35 - bug fixed: formatting of high density disks did not work
  19.  
  20.    2.36 - bug fixed: disks, that were never formatted before,
  21.           could not be formatted on the first try, if the disk
  22.           was not accessed at least once before calling DiskRW.

  24.         - initialization much more reliable, should now always find
  25.           optimum parameters on the first try
  26.  
  27.         - removed the two comparison runs from initialization.
  28.           To see how fast DiskRW is, look how reading speeds up
  29.           during the installation process

  32.           two months after installation.

  37.    2.37 - formatting did still not always work, not it does

  42.           delay coming from dos. This caused sometimes writing
  43.           to be a lot slower. Now it's always slower but only
  44.           a little bit (2-3 seconds).

  50.    You should not have a disk caching program installed and active
  51.    while running the installation of DiskRW. This will cause
  52.    determination of wrong parameters.

  54.    During normal operation of DiskRW (not installation) many disk
  55.    caching programs cause a slow down of DiskRW. The worst effect
  56.    was reported of SmartDrive. Compatibility is not affected, only
  57.    speed. If possible, you should disable disk caches when running
  58.    DiskRW to achieve maximum speed.

  65.    Currently I'm working very hard on a new release (3.0) with lots
  66.    of new features. It should have been ready by the end of 1992
  67.    but got delayed a little bit.
  68.  
  69.    Some of the new features are:
  70.    - copy mode (batch files not needed any more)
  71.    - XMS support (no space on hard disk needed)
  72.    - mass copy mode (one source, multiple copies)
  73.    - compare mode
  74.    - much faster installation, completely automatic now
  75.    - problem solved that could cause delays each few tracks
  76.      (turned out to be a bug of DOS, not of DiskRW)

  79.    - full screen menu interface
  80.      (as alternative to the command line parametersm, not replacing them)

  87.    Register now! With the key-file registration system you automatically
  88.    get FREE UPDATES: your personal key-file will also work with version
  89.    3.0 although that version is very likely to be more expensive than the
  90.    current version is.

  92.    Simply download any new version from a BBS, get a copy from a friend
  93.    or request it from a minimal fee directly from me and it will
  94.    automatically detect that you are a registered used.
